Justin Bieber, pop sensation and Canada native, was arrested on the charges of drunk driving, resisting arrest and driving without a valid drivers license early Thursday morning in Miami, Fla.
News outlets, social media and avid fans erupted Thursday morning when reports spread of the teen heartthrob’s arrest.
Many believe that it was only a matter of time until the pop stars undoing. For the past few months Bieber has carried himself with arrogance and superiority. His actions have shown that he clearly believes he is above the law in many ways. Bieber’s social media is littered with pictures of under-age drinking, substance abuse and self-made graffiti.
Friends, family and fans worry about what future lies ahead for Bieber. Sooner rather than later Bieber will find himself a few “beliebers” short if he is not more cautious of his actions.
Usher, friend and mentor of Bieber, flew to Panama where Bieber has been keeping a low profile since the arrest. Usher reportedly went to meet Bieber for an impromptu intervention of sorts. Fans and close ones can only hope that Usher will have some sound advice other than “let it burn.”
Prior to the arrest, a recent report stated that Bieber has stopped taking advice from his management team. The results of this decision are obvious. However, one has to wonder, when will enough be enough?
Clearly Bieber’s management team has some serious public relations ground to cover in the coming weeks. However, how the situation is handled ultimately lies in Bieber’s hands. We can only hope that Bieber will accept responsibility for his actions and can once again make us all “beliebe.”
